Dealing with crisis & change – Don't Panic (Part 4 of 10)

DON’T PANIC… DON’T PANIC!

If you’re english or aware of the comedy “Dad’s Army”, (set on the homefront during World War II) you will know of a certain “Jones” who was famous for shouting “Don’t Panic…don’t panic” while rushing around in a mad frenzy himself!

When in crisis we need to ward off the stress that pressures you into panic. Panic is always counter-productive.

In the emotional fluctuations, panic can set in with the build up of tensions, anxieties and tightness in your spirit that will hinder your ability to think and act wisely.

In the spiritual life, tightness and panic can blind our eyes to the receptivity of the Word of God, depresses the spirit, impairs faith, robs the prayer life and inhibits receipt of God’s answers.
