365 Days of Activism – These Streets

2008

I have to admit I am no fan of hip-hop, and am way to “uncool” to pull off much affiliation with it! I have continued to follow Ryan “Brown” dalton (rapper, hip-hop, social worker, and a host of other things) on his blog 365 Days of Activism. This journey of living with the street kids has come to an end, but the message that Ryan continues to publicise will live on. I checked out his youtube vids today and came across one of his songs called “These Streets”. Take a look, and even if you are like me… listen to the words of his message, it’s powerful stuff. Ryan… if you ever check out my blog, I just wanna say that I truly admire you and what you are standing for, but more than that, for your integrity, radicalness, and all out for the truth attitude. In my words…”you rock”?!
