Cardboard Testimony – Oh how he loves us

Do you ever have an experience where you’re watching or listening to something and it touches you deeply? I have seen this youtube video before, but today I watched it again and cried. I was reminded once more of how deeply God loves us, and how so very often he works in our lives in ways unseen. What struck me was that these cardboard testimonies can only be told in hindsight…when you’ve walked through the trials, emerged at the other side – and put away the regrets, disappointments, hurts and bitterness.

The Words for the song played in the background are also worth a look. Written by John Mark McMillan

“He is jealous for me
Love’s like a hurricane, I am a tree
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory
and I realize just how beautiful You are and how great your affections are for me.
Oh, how He loves us so
Oh, how He loves us
How He loves us so.

So we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean we’re all sinking
So heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets when I think about the way

That he loves us,
Woah, how He loves us
Woah, how He loves us
Woah, how He loves”

Yeah, it’s a good one. I’m always touched by honest testimonies. This one I liked because it was not only honest but creative too. I looked at the people and you could see that God had really changed them.
