The Micah Challenge – Get Involved

Continuing on from yesterdays post – “What can 1 person do?” I was pointed to the Micah Challenge website in Australia where there are some great suggestions for how you can personally get involved with the challenge of halving poverty by 2015. Here is what they have to say:

Get Involved

It’s great that you’re thinking about how you can respond to the call of Micah Challenge. There are many things that you can do that will help to bring about justice and the end of global poverty.

1. Formalise your commitment to work for the poor by signing the Micah Call.

You can also let other people know about your commitment and wear a Micah Challenge T-shirt or MPH white band.

2. Pray!

Praying will bring you closer to God’s heart for the poor. It is our most powerful weapon against systemic poverty and oppression.

3. Get your group active

We have lots of resources and events to help you get active. Check out the Resources and ‘Latest News’ sections of the website to find out more.

4. Make a donation

Micah Challenge relies on contributions from churches, aid organisations and individuals to keep producing resources. If you’d like to help visit the ‘Make a donation’ page to find out how.
