What did God intend church to be? What makes a good leader? What did God intend for leaders to be?
I love the story of the Good Shepherd. He went looking for the lost sheep, leaving the 99 alone, without a guard and vulnerable. What does that say to us about church leadership?
Peter messed up big time, so did David, but David was a man after God's heart, who led the people.
Have some church leaders taken on the ways of leadership styles in the world rather than Biblical leadership?
What about the 99 left behind. Anyone or any animal could have joined them. No-one to protect them other than their unity. Do the church want to risk allowing anyone in or are they too afraid of their reputation and their own emotional wounds to embrace the lost and others who are wounded?

So much I'd like to say but I'll leave it at this: With the stigma attached to "traditional church" I don't know if visitors would ever feel welcome on a Sunday morning until that perception is changed. It's why the church needs to go "out" as opposed to expecting them to come in, IMO.

>Hi rus, yeah, I also had mixed feelings about the 1st one and unfortunately haven't seen the whole program myself. I found out the clip was done by someone who of course supports the "Moot" community who were primarily focused on in the clip, so perhaps it was biased, which is why I added the 2nd.
I think they highlight the difficulty of "fresh expressions", where one can be successful, another can fail because it crosses boundaries that are maybe not biblically sound. I am not sure about the labyrinth thing either and it has too many pagan connotations for me to advocate it. Certainly something that can be looked at. Some may see it as Christianity REDEEMING what the "world" has stolen. Still it is a fine line.
